Confused about all the different advertising requirements?
Learn how to become a registered breeder with RPBA.
No idea where to start when it comes to pet advertising, contracts, registration, breeding supplies e.t.c?
RPBA was created because of its love for pets – both purebred and mixed. This is why we made it our mission to ensure that all the cats and kittens sold by our members are healthy and properly cared for.
We do this by verifying every single person who wants to become a registered breeder by requiring them to follow strict and ethical guidelines. Furthermore, we make it our responsibility to check that the felines our breeders own and sell are provided with a comfortable shelter, ample space to move, physical and mental stimulation, medical attention, proper nutrition, and regular grooming.
As part of our commitment to ensure the welfare of our cats and kittens, we ask every RPBA registered breeder to mate only females that are over ten months of age. No queen should have more than two litters a year for it to be given enough time to recover.
If you are visiting this page because you are considering becoming a registered cat breeder with RPBA, note that we have two membership levels:
Once you have become a registered cat breeder with RPBA, your records will appear on our member’s list. This list will help potential cat buyers verify your details and see if yours match the ones provided to them.
Before putting up a kitten for sale, it should be at least 8 weeks old, microchipped, and vaccinated. Should your feline have any health issues, it cannot be sold until it is cured. We recommend that you invite all your buyers to meet your cat so that they can better assess its temperament, health, and size, among others.
Bear in mind that RPBA offers a three-day cooling-off period and allows refunds and returns. Should your buyer have any reason to discontinue caring for your pet, you are required to provide them with a lifetime rehoming guarantee.
