If you own cats or are considering starting a breeding cattery, RPBA would be happy to have you as a member. When you register as a breeding cattery with RPBA, you will first become a probationary member.
Before joining RPBA, please ensure that you comply with state legislation and understand the RPBA Code of Ethics.
It generally takes a couple of days before your membership application is approved, up to a maximum of around two weeks. After approval, your membership details will appear on the RPBA cat breeder database and our Verify Breeder page.
To become a RPBA full member, you may request a veterinarian audit form through email. It’s best to do this early so that you can be approved for full membership at no extra cost.
Fill out the audit form and have it completed by a practising veterinarian, then submit it back to us so that we can begin processing your full membership.
Cat microchipping is a simple procedure where a small transponder chip, about the size of a grain of rice, is inserted beneath the skin of a cat, usually between the shoulderblades.
The chip contains identifying information about your cat and can be used to reunite you with your pet if they ever become separated from you.
To become a registered cat breeder with RPBA, click on the “Join Now” button below. You will be directed to a secure payment page to choose your preferred membership option. You may choose either monthly or yearly instalments.
After payment is completed, you will be redirected to a cattery registration page. If you are not redirected, please check your email for the link to the page. Please also check your junk mail or spam folder. Complete your details and provide pictures of your accommodations for your cats, as well as proof of identity, then finalise your registration. Our team, including our resident Veterinarian, will review your request to ensure that you comply with our Code of Ethics and standards.
All you need to do after this is wait for our email telling you that your application has been approved.
Please keep in mind that we may refuse membership to any cat breeders whom we feel do not uphold state legislation or our Code of Ethics. Any denied membership application will be eligible for a refund.
Once your membership has been approved and your member number is live on our database, we do not offer change-of-mind refunds. Buyers will be able to verify you on our Verify Breeder page.
You will also be able to log into the RPBA Members Only Section to access 16+ exclusive partner discounts, including pet food, pet insurance, pet supplies, and so much more!
Our In-house Veterinarian Reviews Your Photos & Application
They have great resources for first time breeders like myself which made me feel a lot more comfortable knowing I have their ongoing support and guidance.
The discounts and specials they offer members saved me 10 times more than their membership fee. A no brainer. And the support from fellow RPBA breeders has been reassuring and welcoming too. Very happy!
RPBA has been excellent to deal with from start to finish. My application was processed within 24 hours and their breeder offerings are great.
I’ve already used some of their templates and the learning documents they provide also has made it easier for me to educate new families on health matters and ongoing care of the pups once they leave our home. Great to be part of a proactive and supportive group.
“I felt reassured I could verify them and have the confidence to know they are coming from a loving, good home and a responsible breeder.”
